That the ambulances of the National Emergency Medical Center are delayed almost every time the people have an emergency, this is already known by everyone.
There are even hundreds of complaints received by Joq Albania regarding the problem of emergency arrival delays, thus showing the scandalous management of this service by the current leader Skënder Brataj.
But it seems that this has been accepted "de facto" by Veliaj himself, as he has organized a tender of a full 60 million old ALL with VAT to buy or rent an ambulance that will stand near the Artificial Lake Park.
It is quite interesting a phrase in the tender documentation where it is written in black and white that one of the main reasons for deploying the ambulance is precisely "reducing the delay in response time to emergencies".
In other words, Brataj is not capable at bringing the ambulances near the Lake Park in time in case of emergency, therefore Veliaj is forced to spend the taxes of the capital city to buy or rent an ambulance.
Of course, it is clear that Veliaj is using this opportunity quite well to "suck" 60 million ALL from the tender he organized. It is about the procedure with reference number REF-45375-10-11-2022 and with the object "Polyemergencies Monitoring and Management Service" with a limit fund of 5,416,667 new ALL without VAT or about 65 million old ALL including VAT.
In addition to placing the ambulance, the tender also provides for the installation of several cameras, audio systems with boxes, and the management of these services through an operating room.
The winner of the tender was declared the company ROGAT SECURITY owned by Begator Mane, with the offer of 5,148,900 new ALL without VAT or about 60 million old ALL with VAT. This figure is as much as 95% of the tender's limit fund, raising doubts that we are dealing with a predetermined winner.
