The "monster" Paqsor Buzi of the tenders is back again! His firm G.P.G. COMPANY has strongly returned to the "tender market" in Albania. Although for a while Paqsor Buzi tried to stay out of the limelight after winning endless tenders, it seems now the millions have run out quickly and he needs more.
Of course, who better than Evis Berberi of ARRSH can fill his pockets? Let's see the details. It is about a tender organized by the Albanian Road Authority with reference number REF-44736-10-06-2022. The limit fund is 25,392,308 new ALLwithout VAT or about 300 million old ALL with VAT. The object of the tender is "Reconstruction of Tapiza Bridge, (additional works)".
Although nearly 1.5 million euros with VAT were given for the construction of the Tapiza Bridge after the damage from the earthquake of November 26, 2019, it turns out that they were not enough for the appetite of Paqsor Buzi. The construction of this bridge has exceeded the deadlines promised by both Balluku and Rama several times.
Thus, the deadline for its completion was 10 months after the start of the works or September 30, 2021, according to Balluku's public statements. But not only was the bridge not completed on time, but September 30, 2022 also passed, i.e. a year later, and nothing was done.
Paqsor Buzi is now asking for 300 million old ALL with additional VAT after receiving 1.5 million euros. Of course, Evis Berberi of ARRSH immediately gave him the additional money.
It's funny in the meantime because if you look at the works board posted near the Tapiza Bridge, the year of the start of the works has been deleted, not without purpose. It would not be surprising if Paqsor Buzi receives other additions in the future for this bridge that is still unfinished.
