A few days ago, Joq Albania organized a survey on the social network Instagram regarding whom Albanians preferred for Prime Minister between the two alternatives given.
One of the alternatives was the current Prime Minister in office, Edi Rama. While the second alternative was the current mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
The survey was based on the fact that there are indications that Veliaj has ambitions to become Prime Minister. The survey question was: "Evil mouths say that Veliaj has ambitions to become Prime Minister. Between Veliaj and Rama, which one do you prefer?".
The voting was massive and the result surprising. Until the moment of writing this article, 81% of Albanians would rather have Prime Minister Edi Rama than Erion Veliaj. Bearing in mind that Rama has been in office for 9 years and that the scandals of his government are almost daily, again 81% or 4 out of 5 Albanians preferred Rama to Veliaj.
It is not known why the people have such a great antipathy towards the current mayor of Tirana, however the survey speaks clearly. Between two evils, Albanians have chosen the lesser evil.
